Purpose in the Fight: Lessons from Spiritual Warfare

Sometimes in life, we come to a point where we feel an undeniable pull to pursue what’s deeply embedded in our hearts. It’s the dreams we’ve carried for so long, the purpose we were created for, the longing that whispers, “Now is the time.” But stepping into that purpose isn’t always easy. It often means facing challenges that test our faith, resilience, and spiritual strength. I recently found myself in such a battle, one that opened my eyes to the reality of spiritual warfare and how it intersects with the choices we make to follow our calling. What transpired wasn’t just a series of events but a profound experience that taught me about rising above unseen battles with faith, prayer, and discernment.   A Dream That Spoke of Challenges One night, I dreamt of a curled-up snake. It was still, lying in my path, almost as though waiting to strike. Instead of being overcome with fear, I leapt over it and moved on. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but as I reflected, the imagery beg...

Human Rights Day in South Africa: A Moment to Reflect and Forgive Yourself

Today, South Africa celebrates  Human Rights Day , a day dedicated to recognizing and advocating for fundamental rights such as freedom, equality, dignity, and justice. But have you paused to ask if you’re truly free within yourself? Are you allowing yourself to live without guilt, shame, or the weight of past mistakes?    On this Human Rights Day, imagine what it would mean to extend these same values of freedom, dignity, and justice to yourself. To liberate yourself from the cage of self-judgment and treat your inner bein...

When Is It Enough? A Journey to Self-Love and Boundaries

"You have nailed yourself to a cross, and placed a crown of thorns upon your own head." Quote from  A Course in Miracles  paint a vivid and challenging picture of emotional and mental self-sacrifice. They speak directly to how often I unwittingly betray myself with choices that deplete my self-worth, causing me to prioritize others at the expense of my own wellbeing.  Recently, a friend offered me a different perspective, she posed a simple yet piercing question… "When is it enough?" This gave me pause and urged me to examine my patterns of over-sacrifice, ultimately shifting my relationship with myself.  What Does Self-Sacrifice Really Mean?  Self-sacrifice often presents itself as a virtue. It’s the instinct to prioritize another’s needs over your own—to give, to serve, to support. While this behavior is commendable in moderation, it becomes problematic when repeated to a degree that harms your emotional, mental, or physical health….Yup this is me then I mask ...
