Reclaiming Your Essence Through Intentional Living

Women’s Month is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of women everywhere. It’s also an opportunity to pause and reflect on how often we care for others while neglecting ourselves. When was the last time you took a moment to focus inward, to realign with your purpose and nurture your well-being?

My own path to self-care has taught me invaluable lessons I want to share with you. Each year, when winter arrives, I retreat into what I call a period of “Hibernation.” This is my sacred time, a non-negotiable season to reconnect with my Source, my Creator, and reset my focus. Setting boundaries, even from well-meaning loved ones or external distractions, is an essential step in reclaiming balance and clarity.

If you feel overwhelmed or stretched thin, know this is your permission to prioritise self-care intentionally. As you step into this season, even if only for a moment remember to Prioritise your well-being, Focus on your vision, and Ignore the distractions that pull you away from what truly matters.

From my personal experience and the wisdom of Proverbs 4:25-26 to create space for focus, purpose, and growth is a non-negotiable.

The Power of Pause
Life’s chaos can leave us drained, but intentional rest refills our cup. For me, hibernation means stepping away from personal and professional noise to listen inward.

What does pausing look like for you? Whether it’s quiet reflection or a day of solitude?

If nothing else, self-care starts with saying, “I matter enough to reset.”

Staying Focused on Your Vision
Distractions are inevitable, but staying aligned with your purpose is non-negotiable. Look straight ahead! Write down your vision, establish clear priorities, and say NO to what doesn’t serve your purpose. Protect your energy and reaffirm that your calling is worth pursuing.

Building on a Firm Foundation
A strong foundation is key to lasting peace and fulfilment. Like Nehemiah rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls, we must revisit and strengthen our values, faith, and habits. Proverbs 4:26 urges us to “ponder the path of your feet.” Reconnect with your faith, audit your practices, and invest in long-term growth.

Avoiding Distractions
Perhaps the greatest obstacle to intentional living is learning to filter out distractions. During my hibernation, I realized how much I had been tuning in to external voices while ignoring the one voice I trust above all—my Internal Guidance System. The pull of social media, other people’s opinions, and endless pressures can drown out your own truth if you’re not careful.

I encourage you to “look straight ahead,” filtering out noise to stay focused, set boundaries and most importantly trust your inner guidance. Prioritise what matters, focus on your mission, and ignore what detracts from your purpose.

Creating Space for Yourself
This Women’s Month, celebrate by reflecting on how you prioritize your well-being. Intentional rest can reconnect you with your purpose, strengthen relationships, and bring clarity. Your self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential.

Give yourself the gift of YOU. Prioritise - Focus - Ignore

Purpose in the Fight: Lessons from Spiritual Warfare

Sometimes in life, we come to a point where we feel an undeniable pull to pursue what’s deeply embedded in our hearts. It’s the dreams we’ve carried for so long, the purpose we were created for, the longing that whispers, “Now is the time.” But stepping into that purpose isn’t always easy. It often means facing challenges that test our faith, resilience, and spiritual strength. I recently found myself in such a battle, one that opened my eyes to the reality of spiritual warfare and how it intersects with the choices we make to follow our calling. What transpired wasn’t just a series of events but a profound experience that taught me about rising above unseen battles with faith, prayer, and discernment.   A Dream That Spoke of Challenges One night, I dreamt of a curled-up snake. It was still, lying in my path, almost as though waiting to strike. Instead of being overcome with fear, I leapt over it and moved on. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but as I reflected, the imagery beg...

I AM GRATITUDE

GOD~GRACE~GLENDA~GRATITUDE~GREATNESS   The belief that "everything is part of God’s plan and works together for my good" has been a guiding force throughout my life. There have been times when the bigger picture seemed unclear, and challenges felt overwhelming. Yet, I’ve learned to trust those moments, knowing that God’s plan unfolds in ways we cannot always see. As Ecclesiastes reminds us, "He has made everything beautiful in its time." This powerful truth has taught me patience and helped me recognize that even life’s difficulties have purpose.   Last year, in particular, was a season of immense challenge. I faced trials that stretched me in ways I didn’t expect, but I now see how those moments were part of God refining and shaping me. Where there was uncertainty, He provided direction. Where there was hardship, His grace carried me through.   Living with Purpose Each of us is entrusted with a unique calling, a "God-given task" meant to bring light and m...

Embracing Transformation: Overcoming Procrastination and Self-Sabotage en route to Return2SELF

There comes a time when we find ourselves standing at the crossroads of transformation and self-discovery. It is easy to become our own harshest critics, placing limits on the love we deserve due to perceived flaws that only we can see. However, this internal battle often leads us down a path of procrastination and self-sabotage, even when everything seems to be going well. Through meditation and reflection, I've found inspiration in “my manual,” which calls for liberation from presumptuous sins—those negative thoughts that bind us. Imagine working tirelessly towards your dreams only to stall at the finish line because you suddenly doubt your capabilities! This is what happens when we fail to recognize the power of our words—what you say about yourself matters because you're listening too. As I sat in meditation this morning, reflecting on Psalm 19:13, it became clear that much of my self-judgment stems from what can be described as presumptuous sins—those subtle yet pervasive ...
