Follow what inspires you Glenda: me vs ME

Conversations with myself happen quite often and today’s was inspired by my interaction with a young lady who is part of my team. Her energy, her potential—it was radiating optimism. But behind that sparkle, I could also see something else—a hesitation. A doubt. Questions like  Am I even up for this? Can I handle it? What if I don’t have enough experience? “

It’s funny, isn’t it? How so many of us pour energy into lifting others up but hesitate when it comes to shining a light on ourselves. I wonder if it’s because standing out feels like stepping into the unknown—exciting, yes, but also terrifying. It requires us to fully own our power, to risk failure, and to acknowledge that there might be no limits to what we can achieve if we truly commit.

Here’s my truth I’m starting to grasp—holding back doesn’t protect me. It actually limits me. When I clip my own wings, not only am I losing out on what I have been shown by my Creator that I will become, but I am also failing to fully serve those I aim to inspire.

Every time I encourage someone else to take the leap, I give them the belief they need to succeed. Yet how much more impact could I have if I led by example 100%?

My interaction with her reminded me that fear is not a sign to stop, but an invitation to push ahead. Fear is often just our mind's way of signalling that we’re standing on the edge of transformation. And isn’t that an incredible place to be?

I sat there reflecting—as much as I want her, and everyone I inspire, to be bold and take their chances, how can I truly ask her to leap if I’ve only dipped my toes in? Courage is contagious, but so is hesitation.

Commitment starts with me. It starts with fully stepping into my potential and knowing that even if I stumble, I’m still moving forward. If a little effort already helps me stand out, what would it mean to truly go all in? To unapologetically show up as my best self, without shrinking back or second-guessing whether I’m “too much”?

I have read so many books that has the message of “When we allow ourselves to step into our power, we gift others the permission to do the same”. Well guess what I am starting to accept, it’s not arrogance; it’s alignment. Alignment with purpose, passion, and the unique gift we’re here to share.

Today reminded me that "returning to self" isn’t just about reflecting quietly or retreating inward—it’s also about standing boldly outward. It’s claiming space unapologetically because we deserve to be here, and what we have to offer matters.

I AM choosing moving forward. No more halfway shows, no more dimmed light. Just full, unapologetic presence. Not just for me, but for the legacy I want to leave. After all, if not now, when?

  1. This reflection beautifully captures the struggle many face between self-doubt and the desire to step into their full potential. It’s so powerful how you connect your own growth with inspiring others to do the same. The realization that fear often signals the edge of transformation is profound, and it highlights that real courage isn’t just about taking risks, but fully embracing who we are and what we can achieve. The message of unapologetically claiming space and showing up in alignment with your purpose resonates deeply—it's a reminder that the impact we have on others starts with fully embracing ourselves.

Purpose in the Fight: Lessons from Spiritual Warfare

Sometimes in life, we come to a point where we feel an undeniable pull to pursue what’s deeply embedded in our hearts. It’s the dreams we’ve carried for so long, the purpose we were created for, the longing that whispers, “Now is the time.” But stepping into that purpose isn’t always easy. It often means facing challenges that test our faith, resilience, and spiritual strength. I recently found myself in such a battle, one that opened my eyes to the reality of spiritual warfare and how it intersects with the choices we make to follow our calling. What transpired wasn’t just a series of events but a profound experience that taught me about rising above unseen battles with faith, prayer, and discernment.   A Dream That Spoke of Challenges One night, I dreamt of a curled-up snake. It was still, lying in my path, almost as though waiting to strike. Instead of being overcome with fear, I leapt over it and moved on. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but as I reflected, the imagery beg...

I AM GRATITUDE

GOD~GRACE~GLENDA~GRATITUDE~GREATNESS   The belief that "everything is part of God’s plan and works together for my good" has been a guiding force throughout my life. There have been times when the bigger picture seemed unclear, and challenges felt overwhelming. Yet, I’ve learned to trust those moments, knowing that God’s plan unfolds in ways we cannot always see. As Ecclesiastes reminds us, "He has made everything beautiful in its time." This powerful truth has taught me patience and helped me recognize that even life’s difficulties have purpose.   Last year, in particular, was a season of immense challenge. I faced trials that stretched me in ways I didn’t expect, but I now see how those moments were part of God refining and shaping me. Where there was uncertainty, He provided direction. Where there was hardship, His grace carried me through.   Living with Purpose Each of us is entrusted with a unique calling, a "God-given task" meant to bring light and m...

Embracing Transformation: Overcoming Procrastination and Self-Sabotage en route to Return2SELF

There comes a time when we find ourselves standing at the crossroads of transformation and self-discovery. It is easy to become our own harshest critics, placing limits on the love we deserve due to perceived flaws that only we can see. However, this internal battle often leads us down a path of procrastination and self-sabotage, even when everything seems to be going well. Through meditation and reflection, I've found inspiration in “my manual,” which calls for liberation from presumptuous sins—those negative thoughts that bind us. Imagine working tirelessly towards your dreams only to stall at the finish line because you suddenly doubt your capabilities! This is what happens when we fail to recognize the power of our words—what you say about yourself matters because you're listening too. As I sat in meditation this morning, reflecting on Psalm 19:13, it became clear that much of my self-judgment stems from what can be described as presumptuous sins—those subtle yet pervasive ...
