Embracing Transformation: Overcoming Procrastination and Self-Sabotage en route to Return2SELF

There comes a time when we find ourselves standing at the crossroads of transformation and self-discovery. It is easy to become our own harshest critics, placing limits on the love we deserve due to perceived flaws that only we can see. However, this internal battle often leads us down a path of procrastination and self-sabotage, even when everything seems to be going well. Through meditation and reflection, I've found inspiration in “my manual,” which calls for liberation from presumptuous sins—those negative thoughts that bind us. Imagine working tirelessly towards your dreams only to stall at the finish line because you suddenly doubt your capabilities! This is what happens when we fail to recognize the power of our words—what you say about yourself matters because you're listening too. As I sat in meditation this morning, reflecting on Psalm 19:13, it became clear that much of my self-judgment stems from what can be described as presumptuous sins—those subtle yet pervasive ...

Reflecting on Psalm 18: How Have You Been Your Own Saul?

Reflection on Psalm 18: How Have You Been Your Own Saul? This morning I found myself deeply reflecting on  Psalm 18 , a psalm written by David, who continuously spoke to the Lord throughout his life. The intimacy of David's relationship with God is evident in this scripture. He must have spent so much dedicated time in God's presence for God to guide the prophet Samuel directly to him. This reflection led me to ask myself a hard-hitting question:  What if I have been my own Saul?   Recognizing My Own Limitations David’s life was a remarkable example of God’s faithfulness and grace, and yet his story is also a reminder of human nature—the tendency to try to take control. When I looked inward, I recognized moments in my own life where I have taken on the role of “being my own Saul.” There were times I thought I could handle everything on ...

Follow what inspires you Glenda: me vs ME

Conversations with myself happen quite often and today’s was inspired by my interaction with a young lady who is part of my team. Her energy, her potential—it was radiating optimism. But behind that sparkle, I could also see something else—a hesitation. A doubt. Questions like   “ Am I even up for this? Can I handle it? What if I don’t have enough experience?  “ It’s funny, isn’t it? How so many of us pour energy into lifting others up but hesitate when it comes to shining a light on ourselves. I wonder if it’s because standing out feels like stepping into the unknown—exciting, yes, but also terrifying. It requires us to fully own our power, to risk failure, and to acknowledge that there might be no limits to what we can achieve if we truly commit.  Here’s my truth I’m starting to grasp—holding back doesn’t protect me. It actually limits me. When I clip my own wings, not only am I losing out on what I have been shown by my Creator that I will become, but I am also fa...
